makagog asked: Dear FSXpilot767, When I fly an approach in the NGX not following a STAR, and try to fly a normal ILS approach I would have to capture the Localizer from heading select mode. When I try this it seems that the Localizer won't capture, it just stays armed untill the very last moment, about 1.5 mile away from the runway it captures not a normal 10 miles away. Then it tries to follow the glideslope and localizer making hideous manouevres before landing with a too fast speed. Could you help me out?

Does this problem occur even when you capture the localiser in HDG SEL mode? Because I usually use heading select mode to capture the localiser (so LNAV doesn’t start turning prematurely) and it works just fine :)

 In a few hours time the first episode of tutorials of a LONG series will be uploaded! This series will focus on airports rather than aircraft and I will start with some of the more dangerous, unusual or interesting airports around the world preferably with add-on scenery. The first airport will be Innsbruck. After the first few episodes I’ll ask you to request the airport you’d like to see! :)

Thanks, no problem! Yes, I’m using an add-on called EzDok, it’s a great add-on which also provides the head movements when landing in episode 9 as well :)

Could you do a flight from EDDM to LOWI with SID/STAR via RTT to RWY08 complete with FMC route planning, navigation set-up etc? What's the best way to follow GP to LOWI? I tried using APP mode, but I couldn't cancel out of APP and hold 3500 around to land on 08 :)

Thanks for watching my videos, it’s greatly appreciated! I’m afraid I couldn’t upload a full flight but I do have plans for ‘airport tutorials’ so I’ll start with Innsbruck, do all of the approaches and some departures then move on to a different airport which people request :)
